Undocumented immigrants contributed $100 billion in taxes in 2022, which is roughly the same amount it would cost to deport them all. This makes me wonder if it wouldn't be more sensible to just grant them citizenship instead. 🤷♂️
It's honestly wild how much people pay in taxes, yet some still act like they’re not contributing. If we're already collecting the money, why not let them stay and work like everyone else? Deporting seems expensive and backwards.
